Central Teacher Eligibility Examination (CTET) is organized to determine the qualifications of the candidates with a degree or diploma in education, to teach job in schools, under the administrative control of the state or union territories. Examinations include primary and primary level teaching work. Selection is done strictly on the basis of merit, and certificate of eligibility issues to qualified candidates is valid for seven years from the date of declaration of result. Eligibility Criteria for CTET 2019:
For the primary stage (up to standard I to V):
Candidates should pass the minimum 50% marks in the Higher Secondary Examination and in the last year of two year diploma course in education.
Candidates should have Higher Secondary Ratings with minimum 45% marks and NCTE Law 2002, in the last year of two year diploma course in education or following.
Candidates must pass the Higher Secondary Ratings in the last year of the minimum 50% marks and the four year Bachelor of Education (B.El.Ed.).
Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary Ratings with a minimum of 50% marks and two years Diploma in Education in the last year or passed later.
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and passed or passed in the last year of two years Diploma in Education.
For the primary stage (from standard VI to VIII):
Candidates must complete a bachelor’s degree and have to pass or pass the final year of diploma in two years of education.
Candidates should complete Bachelor’s degree rating with minimum 50% marks and pass a year’s Bachelor of Education course.
According to the NCTE rules published from time to time, graduation degree rating should be completed with minimum 45% marks or passing one-year Bachelor of Education.
Candidates must pass a Bachelor’s degree rating of minimum 50% and one year B.Ed course.
Candidates should complete the Ratings of Class XII with minimum 50% marks and should be passed in the four-year Bachelor of Education or later.
Candidates should complete the Ratings of Class XII with minimum 50% marks and B.Sc.Ed / B.A. or B.Sc.Ed./B.Ed.
CTET 2019 Application Fee Details
In order to successfully submit the application form, the candidates will have to pay the prescribed application fee amount. Payment of application fee can be done both offline and online. Category-wise application fee details are:
For Paper I or Paper II (any):
General / OBC – Rs. 700 / –
SC / ST / Individual Abled Person – Rs. 350 / –
For Paper I and Paper II (both):
General / OBC – Rs. 1200 / –
SC / ST / Individual Abled Person – Rs. 600 / –
Online charges can be made through debit / credit card, while offline charges can be paid through e-challan by depositing cash in Syndicate or Canara Bank.
